1. ANNOUNCEMENT The Tyneside Motorsport Group on behalf of the Association of Northeast and Cumbria Car Clubs will promote for 2024 a Tarmacadam Special Stage Rally Championship sponsored by AS Performance; Championship Registration Number is TBC

4. CLASSES AND ELIGIBILITY:
The championship will consist of an overall AS Performance Champion category, Ladies Champion, Champion of Closed Road, Champion of Single Venue, Champion of the Ranges (Otterburn & Warcop) and seven classes for drivers and co-drivers. The classes are:
Class 1 – 2-wheel drive vehicles up to and including 1400cc – Supported by VoxCloud (www.voxcloud.co.uk)
Class 2 – 2-wheel drive vehicles over 1400cc up to and including 1600cc - Supported by www.pdextinguishers.co.uk)
Class 3 – 2-wheel drive vehicles over 1600cc up to and including 2000cc – Supported by John Nicholson Fine Art (www.johnnicholsonfineart.co.uk)
Class 4 – 2-wheel drive vehicles over 2000cc – Supported by Legend Fires (www.legend-fires.com)
Class 5 – 4-wheel drive vehicles not complying with Class 6 – Supported by ND Civils (www.ndcivils.com)
Class 6 – Homologated or Non Homologated current or former World Rally Cars or one derived from one, plus current or former S2000 cars and all FIA R5 cars. – Supported by Boomerang Healthcare (www.boomerangHealthcare.com)

All vehicles must comply in all respects with current Motorsport UK Technical Regulations and Safety Requirements and be in possession of a current Motorsport UK Stage Rally Logbook/Passport. Historic vehicles to conform to Regulation R49. An Eligibility scrutineer has been appointed for this purpose and registered contenders must comply with requests to inspect vehicles at any time relative to the championship and class eligibility. Metro 6R4s of up to 2800cc (with a Motorsports UK sealed engine) and stage rally cars subject to category 2 approval may compete in the championship provided that the appropriate documentation has been issued by Motorsport UK.

5. SCORINGEvery registered contender who starts a rally will be awarded 1 point. In addition points will be awarded who finish as follows:-
Overall 1st = 15 points, 2nd = 14 points, down to 1 point for 15th and other registered contenders who are classified as finishers.
Classes 1st = 8 points, 2nd = 6 points, 3rd = 4 points, 4th = 3 points, 5th = 2 points and 1 point to other registered contenders who are classified as finishers.
Ladies Champion will be scored as 1st = 15 points, 2nd = 14 points, down to 1 point for 15th and other registered Ladies who are classified as finishers.

7. CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS & SCORING ROUNDSThe Championship will consist of 14 rounds of Tarmacadam / sealed surface events, and competitors best scores on 8 rounds will count. If through force majeure an event is cancelled or a date is changed, the championship reserves the right to accept any change of date and/or adjust the number of counting rounds.

Inter Club Championship - Tyneside Motorsport Group Shield
The Champion of Ranges is calculated from the overall points scored on Warcop & Otterburn, events Champion of Closed Roads from closed road events. Champion of Single Venue from Single Venue events. Ladies Champion the standing in overall results. Overall winners are not eligible for class awards.
Championship Class winners (Driver & Co-Driver) at each event will receive a souvenir token in recognition of their success
Named Trophies remain the property of the Championship and must be returned after 10 months of receiving them, or at the last rally event of the following season. Failure to collect an award at the official presentation may result in the forfeiture of the award.
9. REGISTRATION
The registration fee for the 2023 Championship season is £20 each for Driver or Co-Driver. Registration must be completed on the Official Paper version or the Electronic form https://forms.gle/yDpi7HTtKrRaFRA89
Contenders must indicate the class and role (Driver/Co-Driver) when initially applying. However no additional fee will be charged if throughout the year they compete in a different class or role.
Contenders must be registered before their due start time on the first event that they wish to score points. Contenders may only score points in the championship class category as registered on each round.

10. DECALS
To promote the championship supporters any car carrying a registered contender must always display the Championship decals on any Championship event on which they compete. Cars not carrying decals will be reported to the Championship Stewards for consideration of a warning or Championship points gained on that event not being allocated to the crew. The championship will issue 2 physical sets (4 decals) of Decals to each registered competitor. Further decals can be purchased at a cost of £1.50 per set, postage & packing will be charged at the current postal rate & envelope at the time.
The decal will be available for download from the Championship website or can be emailed if requested.
Competitors not displaying the championship decal on an event will forfeit any accrued points for that event.

12. AGREEMENT

Results will be declared final once a 5-day period expires.

16. RACE WITH RESPECT
By registering for the Championship all Competitors and their associates commit to positively promote and demonstrate the Motorsport UK’s Respect Code which is appended to these regulations (Appendix 1).
Where any reports of disrespectful conduct are judged to be well founded the Championship Organisers may issue warnings or require remedial actions and/or report the matter to the Championship Stewards who may impose appropriate penalties which can include loss of Championship points and/or bans through to Championship Expulsion and referral to Motorsport UK.
It is imperative that we promote the safety and wellbeing of young people and adults at risk. In addition to this all participants must be aware of their behaviour and conduct at all times and abusive language and harmful behaviour will not be tolerated. Any such incidents must be reported to the Championship Coordinator and/or Safeguarding Officer who will also relay the report Motorsport UK. Details of the Motorsport UK Policies and Guidelines are available at www.motorsportuk.org/resource-centre by selecting Policies and Guidelines.
